Project: Linc Discovery Point, Wolli Creek, NSW, Australia
Client: Richard Crookes Constructions/Oakdale Group
Construction period: 2013-2014
Linc Discovery Point is one of nine residential towers in the Australand Discovery Point development.
The tower is 14 storeys high, comprising a roof plant room level and 13 storeys of apartments above a retail podium and 4 levels of carpark.
Climbform Engineering’s Premium system was used to construct the central core comprising a double lift shaft and a stair shaft as well as a lobby area to the stair. Due to the narrow width of the lobby area, special slimline steel forms were used to provide the maximum possible access for the formworker.
The 34T external platform was lifted by 4 No Climbrams, whilst the internal platforms were lifted by a single Climbram (lift shaft) or 2 No Long Stroke jacks. Trailing platforms were provided in the shafts to enable patching of the support pockets required for the internal platform jacking systems as the shafts were constructed.
The typical pour height was 3.0m with a typical formed area/storey of 215m2. A total of 22 jumps will be required to complete the project in early 2014.
